Month of Prayer – September 7 – October 4 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. John 15:7 This week our prayer theme is Worldwide Church of Christ. Let us approach God in boldness and obedience as we consider how Jesus binds brothers and sisters around the world together by his love and salvation.

Pray for brothers and sisters in Christ:

+ Those in need of healing and others receiving medical treatments. Pray also for their family members. We praise God that Tow and Ida are feeling better – may God continue to strengthen them.
+ Pray for those who must worship in secret and the persecuted believers.
+ Pray for Greg and Luna as they started off for a faith journey of service in China, that the road will be clearly marked and free of obstacles.
+ Pray for those who welcome and assist all the new, incoming students.
+ Pray for blessings and unity in and among other local churches and God’s global church.
+ Pray for the Cantonese ministry for their continued faithfulness and growth. Thank God for their leadership with the Cool Church Kids and care for the other congregations.

Pray for needs of the church:

+ For the resources needed to bring glory to God through the beauty of the church building and the program needs therein.
+ For wisdom for Search Committee as they tackle the task of filling the Associate Pastor position. May God lead us to discern his perfect will.
+ Pray for those who help maintain God’s church.
+ Pray that CCC will glorify God in all its thoughts and works and to be strong against spiritual battles.

Pray for individual spiritual growth:

+ Show me what it means in 1 Pet 2:20 and 21 that I have been called to suffer like Christ. Help me to see that being a Christian is not always about feeling good, but about being molded for God’s greater good. Teach me that All who desire to live godly lives will be persecuted. 2 Ti 3:12 Give me a heart like the Apostle Paul to join Christ in the fellowship of his sufferings.
+ In times of distress, remember the capacity, majesty and authority of the Lord and how he is in control of all situations. I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. Ps 77:11,12
