Prayers: Week of June 16, 2019

Jun 16, 2019   •

Prayer and praise will be our power house: ‘“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.”  We urge all believers to raise up the church in prayers, expecting God to move and act.  The church staff will be praying over these requests every Wednesday from 11:45 am – 12 noon.  Please join them wherever you are to uphold CCC and her people in prayer.  Additional requests may be submitted to the pastors.

Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:

  • Thank God for our earthly fathers, for their encouraging us in the way of the Lord.
  • Thank God we will never be thirsty or hungry. John 6:35
  • Thank God He is faithful for He will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. (1 Cor. 10:13)
  • Thank God for the vivid colors of spring especially after a rain.
  • Thank God for supplying all that we need.

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:

  • Pray for healing and strength for those in fragile health.
  • Pray for those in nursing or needing homebound care. Pray for contentment in the days the Lord has given.
  • Pray that others may know we are God’s disciples because we show love for one another. John 13:35
  • Pray for protection for believers in regions where Christians are persecuted.
  • Pray for those who are still adjusting to the loss of a loved one.
  • Pray for our school children beginning summer break – for a balance of recreation and reflection to be rejuvenated for the new school year.
  • Pray for those visiting the DC area this summer; may we be their church home away from home.

Pray for CCC:

  • Pray that each new day we receive, we remember to thank and praise God for it.  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6 |NIV
  • Pray for our neighborhood, that though yesterday’s Festival brought people together, we must work at being God’s light in the community for every day.
  • Pray that those who our Summer Missions Team will encounter in Appalachia will see the love of Jesus in them.
  • Pray for openness and flexibility in our working together to accomplish God’s tasks for us.
  • Pray for coworkers for Vacation Bible School.
  • Pray for perseverance to see any job we have committed to the Lord, through to the end.

To Think About: As we finish up our 2nd Scripture Memory Campaign, let us remember the benefit or knowing His Word to keep us from sinning.   The law of their God is in their hearts; their feet do not slip.  Psalm 37:31 NIV
