Prayers

Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:

  • Thank you, Lord, that you are my Father, the one who created me and sustains me with your love. As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. Psalm 103:13
  • Thank you, Lord, for our earthly fathers.
  • Thank you, Lord, for moments of silence when I may hear your voice
  • Thank you, Lord, for Your promise that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Acts 2:21
  • Thank you, Lord, that our anxiety may be lifted as we increase our faith in You.

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:

  • Those in fragile health with deteriorating conditions or going through medical treatment
  • Those in nursing or homebound care who are more isolated than others.
  • Those dealing with the coronavirus pandemic – patients, medical staff, researchers, caregivers, essential workers, leaders involved in bringing our nation back to “normal”, those who are afraid of contracting the virus, those who are still coming down with the virus
  • For everyone to do what they can to contribute to the safety of others
  • Those who are struggling with deteriorating relationships
  • Those to whom we miss giving a hug
  • Those mourning the loss of loved ones
  • For those affected by new storms of fire and flood

Pray for CCC:

  • Pray that our worship please our heavenly Father who constantly cares for us. Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God.  We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. Psalm 95:6-7
  • For wisdom in planning for returning to in-person worship in the future
  • For boldness to boast only about God’s gift of salvation and His love through Jesus Christ
  • To claim the power of the Holy Spirit to be God’s hands and feet
  • To follow the example of the church in Acts working together rather than individually
  • To cherish all we encounter as God does – as valuable works of His creation

To Think About: In Proverbs, God’s guide to living, we are reminded that the right word said at the right time can be precious for healing, strengthening, guiding or rescuing even when the word might be a criticism.   A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver. Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise reprover to a listening ear.  May we choose words that build people up. Proverbs 25:11-12 ESV
