Prayers

Monthly Prayer Calendar for July

Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:

  • Thank you, Lord, for being the strength of my life. Psalm 27:1
  • Thank you, Lord, for replacing our tears with your joy!
  • Thank you, Lord, for healing of loved ones.
  • Thank you, Lord, that You make everything beautiful in Your time. Ecclesiastes 3:11
  • Thank you, Lord, that flowers are blooming!

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:

  • Those in fragile health with deteriorating conditions or going through medical treatment
  • Those in nursing or homebound care who are more isolated than others.
  • Those dealing with the coronavirus pandemic – patients, medical staff, researchers, caregivers, essential workers, leaders involved in bringing our nation back to “normal”, those who are afraid of contracting the virus, those who are still coming down with the virus
  • To be rich in good deeds, and be generous and willing to share as Timothy instructed. 1 Timothy 6:18
  • Those who are fearful about returning to work – Pray that they may have faith in the goodness of God and His power over the ills of the world.
  • Those who need an encouraging word, being prepared to give the reason for the hope that you have. 1 Peter 3:15
  • Those figuring out how to spend summer days without the usual recreational outlets
  • For those facing challenges that nature causes

Pray for CCC:

  • Pray that our worship may follow the example of joy God expressed over us, His creation. The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3:17
  • For wisdom in planning for returning to in-person worship in the future
  • For the new Sunday School virtual meetings for children that will start next week
  • To be good stewards over what God has provided
  • For ways to fellowship with other Christians in this time of social distancing
  • To think of the needs of others before our own as Jesus did

To Think About: In Proverbs, God’s guide to living, we are reminded patient, gentle words used over a period of time can be as persuasive as breaking a bone.  Be patient and you will finally win, for a soft tongue can break hard bones.  Proverbs 25:15 TLB
