Scripture – Romans 12:1-2

1Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is —his good, pleasing and perfect will.

This Week’s Sermon Reflection:

  • How have I been responding to God lately?
  • By examining my responses to God, what does that tell me of my view of God?
  • How can I worship God with more than just songs this week?

Worship is a dynamic response to who God is. Worship that is alive responds to the glory of God revealed in Christ through the gospel.

2 Corinthians

24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
