Joint New Year Service, January 11, 2026, 10:45 am
All Congregations will worship together in the sanctuary to begin the new year of ministry for CCC and to support the 2026 Official Board Installation. Headsets for Chinese translation in Cantonese and Mandarin are available in the narthex. Please look for special Joint Service zoom link.

2026 Youth Retreat: Living for Eternity: 7th-12th graders at CCCDC are invited to participate in a time of fellowship, learning God’s Word, and growing together as a family in Christ from January 30 – February 1st, 2026 at Skycroft Conference Center in Middletown, MD. Check with Pastor Josh if you are interested in attending but have not yet signed up.
Missions Update Religious Education Committee committed support to seven missionaries/mission organizations in 2025. December donations total $9,470.00; YTD – $73,860.35. Praise God that your giving has allowed CCC to meet her pledges and additional needs of our missionaries.
Service Opportunities
● Lunch Cooks needed for the new year. Please sign up on the schedule on the kitchen bulletin board.
● ESL and Citizenship Class teachers are needed for these once-a-week zoom classes. Materials are provided. Contact Hadassah Wong in the Chinatown Service Center for details.
Safety Request
● We are reserving the first space in front of the church for drop-off and pick-up of passengers and supplies on Sundays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm so that cars may pull to the curb. If you cannot find street parking, please use the PMI lot at 9th and New York Avenue or the parking garage at 600 Mass (ask the greeter at the front door for instructions to use the garage).
● Make sure all your personal items are securely locked in your trunk and leave valuables at home.

Chinese Spring Retreat Scheduled Earlier this Year Save the weekend of February 21-22, 2026 to join sessions led by Elder Der-Chen Chang.

● Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting on the first Tuesdays of the month. We invite you to join a zoom call to pray following the direction of the pastors or for items on your mind. You may come any time during the hour for prayer in our next virtual meeting on January 6, 2026, from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God. There should be no explanation or self-introduction.

Offerings and Donations are being received during worship services. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal from website link. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account, not a credit card or using the PayPal Giving Fund. Offering collection boxes are also stationed in church worship spaces. In addition to operating budget, you may designate donations to missions, Good Samaritan Fund, Chinatown Service Center, Building Fund.

Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be in February 5, 2026. Translators are provided. You must reserve a spot with the Chinatown Service Center, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. Meeting details will be provided when you call.
