Introducing The Garden – restructured Children’s Sunday School Classes!
• Our children’s and teens’ ministry has a new name: The Garden! Our kids came up with it themselves. From Seedlings to Sprouts to Buds to Rooted, our prayer is every child will grow in faith and stay rooted in Christ. “I am the vine; you are the branches.” John 15:5
• As we begin this new chapter, we’re looking for more people to serve with our kids and teens. Current needs include Sunday School teachers and Assistants for both Sunday School and Children’s Church (no prep required). Chinese/English bilingual volunteers are especially helpful in our Sprouts Children’s Church class.
• Our goal is to have 2 adults in every classroom for added care, support and safety.
• Interested in serving? Contact Esther at esther.cho@cccdc.com. We can chat about needs and where you might be a good fit. A brief training and background check are required.
New Adult Sunday School Topic Begins September 13 “Unleashed” by Tony Evans – Releasing the power of the Holy Spirit within believers to live an abundant, impactful life. Many Thanks to All who supported Chinatown Service Center Fundraising Event on August 29. If you missed it, you may still donate any time to the Center, a program of the church to help new immigrants, seniors and children in the DC area to overcome language barriers as they adjust to life in their new environment. The program operates Monday-Friday.
Thinking Ahead: Religious Education Committee is planning again to pack Christmas shoeboxes to send to children who have not heard about Jesus. Get a head start and take advantage of current school supply sales to gather items to put in the shoeboxes. OFFERINGS AND DONATIONS are being received during worship services. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal from website link. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account, not a credit card or using the PayPal Giving Fund. Offering collection boxes are also stationed in church worship spaces. In addition to operating budget, you may designate donations to missions, Good Samaritan Fund, Chinatown Service Center, Building Fund.

Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be September10. Translators are provided. You must reserve a spot with the Chinatown Service Center, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. Meeting details will be provided when you call.

親愛的弟兄姊妹：主內平安。在這充滿恩典的夏季，讓我們一同來到父神面前，帶著感恩與謙卑的心，向祂獻上我們的禱告與祈求：
恩典代禱：為牧者守望：為徐麗娟牧師禱告 願她在經歷近期的手術後，在家中休養期間能重新得力，早日康復。
介紹「恩典花園」— 重新調整的兒童主日學班級！
• 我們的兒童及青少年事工有了新的名稱：「恩典花園」，這是孩子們自己想出來的名字。
• 從幼苗班、嫩芽班、花蕾班到扎根班，我們的禱告是每個孩子都能在信仰中成長，並在基督裡扎根。「我是葡萄樹，你們是枝子。」約翰福音 15:5
• 隨著我們開啟這個新篇章，我們正在尋找更多弟兄姊妹參與兒童及青少年事工。目前需要主日學老師，以及主日學和兒童崇拜的助教（無需備課）。在嫩芽班兒童崇拜中，中英文雙語志工尤其能提供很大的幫助。
• 我們的目標是每個教室都有兩位成人同工，以提供更多的關懷、支持與安全保障。
成人主日學新專題於9月13日開始 東尼・伊凡（Tony Evans）著《釋放》，探討如何釋放聖靈在信徒生命中的大能，使我們活出豐盛且有影響力的生命。課程材料可透過RightNow Media使用，所有本教會會眾皆可免費使用。請至以下網址註冊：
