Reminders for October 25

Sympathy Extended Yim Mui (May) Cheung, a dedicated and active member of the Cantonese congregation before her illness, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 15, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held at the church on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Yim Mui (May) Cheung Memorial Fund for the Chinatown Service Center, Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington DC 20001. In your donation, please note YMC Fund. Please keep her son and his family (Allen and Yvonne Yiu) in prayer in their time of grief.

Pray for Pastor Joanna that God will continue to empower her for His service and glory even as she continues her chemo treatments.

Interested in Baptism or Membership at CCC? New members will be received at our Joint Thanksgiving Sunday Worship Service, November 22.  Classes for baptism and membership are being scheduled now.  If you are considering a confession of faith or transfer to the CCC family, please contact one of the pastors as soon as possible.

Congregation Meeting, November 1, 2026 for Election Of 2027 Official Board, 1:00 pm in Sanctuary.  Members should have received their ballots in the mail by now.  If not, please inform the church office at info@cccdc.com.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes: Religious Education Committee will sponsor a shoebox packing event on Sunday, November 15 right after lunch in the lower basement.  Come join the packing party! If you can’t make it, you may also pack your own shoebox, bring supplies to put in the boxes, or make a donation to help pay for shipping. Dealing with Stress: Chinatown Service Center is hosting a health workshop on November 17th, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM in the fellowship hall. It will focus on understanding stress, exploring ways to manage it, and learning how to support the people around us experiencing this difficulty.  Workshop will be conducted in Mandarin. A session in English will be scheduled later and be available on Zoom.  Contact csc.coordinator@cccdc.com for details.

OFFERINGS AND DONATIONS are being received during worship services.  Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal from website link. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001.  If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account, not a credit card or using the PayPal Giving Fund.  Offering collection boxes are also stationed in church worship spaces. In addition to operating budget, you may designate donations to missions, Good Samaritan Fund, Chinatown Service Center, Building Fund.

Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be on November5. Translators are provided.  You must reserve a spot with the Chinatown Service Center, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. Meeting details will be provided when you call.

Community Services Classes on Zoom:  English as a Second Language Class, Tuesdays @ 6 pm; Citizenship Classes, Saturday @ 9:30 am. Contact Chinatown Service Center for changes to schedule or to register and obtain the meeting link: 202-898-0061.

10 月 25 日活動提醒

追思與關懷  Yim Mui ( May Cheung) 姊妹在患病之前，一直是粵語堂敬虔且積極參與教會事奉的會友。她於2026年10月15日（星期四）在家中安詳離世。追思禮拜將於2026年11月7日（星期六）下午1:00在教會舉行。如欲表達哀悼與紀念，可將原本準備送花的心意轉為紀念捐款，捐贈予Yim Mui( May Cheung)姊妹紀念基金，用於支持華埠服務中心。捐款地址：美京華人基督教會500 I Street, NW，Washington, DC 20001捐款時，請註明「YMC Fund」。請在禱告中記念她的兒子Allen、兒媳Yvonne Yiu及其家人，求神在他們悲傷的時刻賜下安慰與力量。

壓力調適：健康講座 華埠服務中心將於11月17日下午1:00至2:30在教會團契廳舉辦健康講座，主題為「壓力調適」。講座將著重於幫助大家了解壓力、探索管理壓力的方法，並學習如何支持身邊正面對壓力困擾的人。本次講座將以普通話進行。稍後也將安排英文場次，並透過Zoom 線上平台提供參與。如需詳細資訊，請聯絡：csc.coordinator@cccdc.com

我們在主日崇拜時收納奉獻和捐贈，只要您樂意付出，不論是多少，請奉獻您的所能，而不是您無法奉獻的。哥林多後書8章12節說：“因為人若有願做的心，必蒙悅納，乃是照他所有的，並不是照他所無的” 您的奉獻與捐贈可以通過郵寄支票或銀行轉賬，以及用Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) 或用網絡PayPal的方式支持教會目前的開支。奉獻支票抬頭是：Chinese Community Church，地址是500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001；如用PayPal的方式，為免服務費請指定您賬內的親友而不是信用卡；或通過PayPal捐贈基金捐獻。教會多處都設置了奉獻箱。可指定奉獻用於運作預算，也可指定奉獻支持宣教機構、Good Samaritan Fund、華埠服務中心，或教會大樓基金。
