Prayers: May 24, 2020

May 23, 2020   •

Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:
 Thank you, Lord, for the men and women who died serving in the U.S. military.
 Thank you, Lord, for answering prayers for healing and mercy.
 Thank you, Lord, for the strength to adjust to pandemic life.
 Thank you, Lord, for hearing and saving us no matter how difficult our circumstances. 2 Chronicles 20:9
 Thank you, Lord, that we are not restricted from visiting with you.
Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:
 Those in fragile health due to medical issues
 Those in nursing or homebound care
 Those dealing with the coronavirus pandemic – patients, medical staff, researchers, caregivers, essential workers, leaders who must decide how to bring our nation back to “normal”, those who are afraid of contracting the virus, those who are still coming down with the virus. The Lord said we would face troubles in this world, but also that He had overcome it. Please work together with our frontliners, Lord, to ultimately bring about the best outcome possible.
 Our graduates who start a new chapter in their lives in difficult circumstances
 Those trying to adjust to life without loved ones
 Those who are suffering from floods and cyclones
 Those suffering economic hardship
Pray for CCC:
 Pray for us to be true worshippers, bringing love and obedience from our hearts while recognizing who and what God is. But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. John 4:23
 For wisdom in our reopening plans
 For ability to overcome fear
 That the pandemic does not deter us from our ministry work
 That we don’t spend time debating things that don’t point to Christ
 That we always measure our actions by what pleases God
To Think About: In Proverbs, God’s guide to living, we are reminded to seek God’s truth and wisdom at all costs, and once we have it, don’t be willing to give it up for something temporary. Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding. Proverbs 23:23 ESV
