Prayers

Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:

  • Thank you, Lord, that You promise to restore me to health and heal my wounds. Jeremiah 30:17
  • Thank you, Lord, for your Spirit to guide me.
  • Thank you, Lord, for the diligence of scientists working on the COVID vaccine.
  • Thank you, Lord, for the last remnants of fall color reminding me how majestically You have created seasons.
  • Thank you, Lord, that I have what I need and more for the asking.

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:

  • Those with ongoing health concerns. Pray for courage during recovery.
  • Those in nursing or homebound care. Pray for the Lord’s Presence to bring them rewarding days.
  • Health workers, caregivers, and emergency personnel tending diligently and selflessly to the needs of COVID patients
  • Those who have not yet put their trust in God. As we pray for them, help us to believe that all things are possible with God.
  • That God will bring peace to those stressing over the unknowns of the future
  • For perseverance to do what we should to fight the coronavirus even when it’s not pleasant. Pray for others whose health and livelihoods are affected.
  • For our missionaries who face struggles at every turn
  • For those for whom rebuilding their lives seems an unsurmountable mountain

Pray for CCC:

  • Pray that we may join with every life being to worship our Creator. Let every created thing give praise to the Lord. for he issued his command, and they came into being. He set them in place forever and ever. His decree will never be revoked. Psalm 148:5-6 NLT
  • That we may draw on the best that different generations in our church family have to offer
  • That we may see the pandemic not as a restriction but as an opportunity to do something different
  • That God will not only work around us but work within us
  • That we stay alert and clearheaded, not about to enter sleep mode in our faith. 1 Thessalonians 5
  • That we do not allow complacency to miss out on opportunities to do good and receive God’s blessings. 1 Timothy 6:17
  • For our efforts to support the Shoebox Ministry for children around the world and those in need in our community

To Think About: In Proverbs, God’s guide to living, we are reminded that God does not favor arrogant behavior, but provides blessings to those who are humble.  Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor.  Proverbs 29:23 NLT
