Prayers

Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:

  • Thank you, Lord, for a calmer Christmas, one that I could hear Your voice in the Silent Night.
  • Thank you, Lord, I am healed by the stripes of Jesus (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24).
  • Thank you, Lord, that I am holy and without blame before You in love (Ephesians 1:4; 1 Peter 1:16).
  • Thank you, Lord, for crisp, sunny days.
  • Thank you, Lord, for giving me hope for the new year.

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:

  • Those with ongoing health concerns. Pray for steady healing to continue.
  • Those in nursing or homebound care. Thank God for longer daylight hours that lift our spirits.
  • Those affected by the pandemic either as victims or caregivers. Thank God for the new vaccines and pray for the world to be patient in the administration of the medicines.
  • For safety, good health, and the power of the Holy Spirit to cover our missionaries in their ministries.
  • That we may be an example of patiently waiting on the Lord, not worrying when wickedness seems to prevail — Psalm 37:7
  • For those expecting new additions to their families.
  • For those who are worried about meeting their daily needs. Pray that we may find a way to offer a helping hand.

Pray for CCC:

  • For new energy and enthusiasm as the new year begins.
  • Praise God for the lives that were touched this Christmas because of a small gift, a card, a human contact. Pray that we may continue sharing the love and gospel of God with those who do not know Jesus yet.
  • For our pastors to be strong and wise as they lead us into the new year.
  • That the 2021 Official Board may discern and focus on important aspects of kingdom matters.
  • To be good stewards of what God has provided for us
  • To realize that believing and following are not separate. Christians who believe in Jesus must serve and to serve, one must follow Jesus.
  • To continue to encourage brothers and sisters in Christ even though we cannot gather together yet.
  • Thank God for our Zoom experts who work diligently to provide a positive worship atmosphere.

To Think About: As the new year begins, let us focus on the majesty and power of our Father, the one who created all things and and has never failed to take care of us in the past, is continually with us in the present and will continue to love us into heaven in the future.  I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator and King. I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses. I drew them beneath the waves, and they drowned, their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick.  “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:15-19  TLB
