Appreciation from Rev. Andrew and Mrs. Lydia Shen  The Shens have safely arrived in their new home in Seattle where they will reside with their daughter.  They are very grateful to CCC for the love and care expressed to them while they served and lived in Maryland.   In recognition of Rev. and Mrs. Shen’s service to Chinese Community Church where Rev. Shen served as Visiting Pastor for four years, 2000-2003, the Official Board has established the Rev. Andrew and Mrs. Lydia Shen Fund to use for Church Ministries.  Their ministry at CCC began soon after the Mandarin Ministry was established and continued several years after Rev. Shen’s official retirement, when he served as a guest speaker and advisor.  He filled a pastoral need in both the Mandarin and Cantonese congregations.  Anyone who would like to honor the Shens may make a donation to the Chinese Community Church and designate it for the Shen Fund.

DC Bible Reading Marathon will take place May 1 – 5, 2021 before the National Day of Prayer on May 6. If you wish to participate as a reader, CCC has 3 time slots during which you could read.  Two sets of readings will be done on zoom: 1] Sunday, May 2 from 12:45 – 1:30 pm and Tuesday, May 4 from 2:30 – 3:30 pm  The third set of readings will take place in person on Sunday night, May 2 from 10:45 pm – 12:15 am at or near the Capitol (exact location To Be Announced).  You may read in any language.  If interested, please contact with your preference of time slot.  Zoom links will be made available a day or two before the event.
