Prayers

Pray in thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives:

  • Thank you, Lord, for the beauty of a spring day.
  • Thank you, Lord, for the Holy Spirit helping me to do the impossible – break bad habits.
  • Thank you, Lord, that you are great and mighty in power; that your understanding has no limit. Psalm 147:5
  • Thank you, Lord, for forgiving my sins and for Your assurance that no one is too sinful to be forgiven. Nehemiah 9:17
  • Thank you, Lord, for being more than enough to help me handle the challenges I will face today.

Pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ:

  • For strength and positive thoughts for those with health issues
  • For patience and trust as God leads us through the coronavirus pandemic
  • For the people served by our missionaries in countries where hope and the love of Jesus are desperately needed – middle East, Myanmar, China
  • For those mourning the loss of loved ones
  • For our children to learn from our example of trust in the Lord, compassion for our neighbors, and choosing what is right is right in the Lord’s eyes rather than the ways of the world
  • For those who are weary from restrictions and suffering; help them to talk over their frustrations with God
  • To experience the love of Jesus through us

Pray for CCC:

  • That even in the hardest seasons, we know we always have a reason to worship God who is steadfast and offers enduring love
  • That we will be a church always working for God’s glory
  • That we strive to love and work alongside those who are enemies, even those who disagree with us
  • That we have the attitude of good stewards of what God gives us – supporting His kingdom work joyfully, voluntarily, and generously. 2 Corinthians 8 and 9
  • To remember the basis for our ministry work: ““This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” John 6:29 NLT
  • To prepare to worship in person again – to step out in faith with energy and resolve for this opportunity to do a new thing in worship, discipleship, and fellowship.
  • For joy in knowing that nothing can separate us from God’s love: Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.  No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

To Think About: Easter Sunday has passed but the resurrection of Jesus provides us hope every day on which to build our faith.  And if the Spirit of God, who raised up Jesus from the dead, lives in you, he will make your dying bodies live again after you die, by means of this same Holy Spirit living within you.  Romans   8:11 TLB  The Holy Spirit in us provides the means that we will live again after our earthly bodies perish.
