All Worship Services are held in-person and on Zoom.  See schedule below.  Everyone must wear a mask, affirm the wellness check, and sign in with contact information.  Come join us online or in person.

Sympathy is expressed to the family of Rev. Andrew Shen.  Rev. Shen, our former Chinese Visiting Pastor, passed away in Seattle on September 27, 2021 at the age of 95.  Funeral Services will be held at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home in Silver Spring on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 10:30 am.  Viewing precedes the service from 9:30 – 10:30 am.  Interment will be at Maryland National Memorial at 1 pm.

Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting We invite you to join together as a church family for prayer on October 4, 2021 (the first Monday of the month) from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm.  Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God.  There should be no explanation or self-introduction.  You may pray following the direction of the pastors or for items on your mind at the time. Missions Update  Donations for September  –  $2370.00; Year-to-date – $50,992.30. Our budget is $70,000.  Your prayers and financial support for our missionaries are appreciated.  CCC supports various projects within Send International, Pioneers, Navigators, China Outreach Ministries, and International Foundation organizations as well as Gospel Carrier International, Youth Ministry in China, and Chinese Gospel Broadcasting Center.  For more information, please contact the church office.

Pardon our Dust Work has started on the security grant project awarded to our church so be cautious around any work areas in progress.  Please stay in assigned worship and Sunday School areas only.  Cameras, monitors and new doors will be installed.

Dora Fugh Lee: A Lifetime of Art Exhibit is on display at the Chinese American Museum in DC (CAMDC), located at 1218 16th St. N.W., Washington, DC through December 22, 2021. Dora is a member of CCC.  For details, check the museum website:  www.ChineseAmericanMuseum.org

The church office and Chinatown Service Center are open full-time hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.  All visitors must call the respective office to make an appointment before coming in and be informed of safety protocols, such as mask-wearing, when entering the church building.  Church office number is 202-637-9852 and Chinatown Service Center number is 202-898-0061.    Our building worker continues to maintain our building following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting against COVID-19.

Precautionary Measures Due to Coronavirus

  • Be cautious when going out – wearing a face covering is required in DC any time you are indoors and recommended outdoors when social distancing is not possible, whether you are vaccinated or not. Capacity restrictions have been lifted for shopping, dining, and traveling, but some health safety protocols are still in effect for some places.  Be cautious in large gatherings.  Stay home if you are sick.
  • Details of activity information changes are announced through the website, phone tree, social media, WTOP and WJLA. If you want to be on the email list, please make sure we have your current email by contacting linda@cccdc.com
  • Anyone who has been exposed to coronavirus or tests positive must quarantine for 10 days.
  • Follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for protecting yourself – wear a mask, wash hands frequently with soap and water, cover coughs and sneezes, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands, stay home if you feel ill.
  • Consult a doctor if you have a high fever, cough or breathing problems.
  • Be aware of anti-Asian/Chinese sentiments from those who have anger or fear related to the virus’ origins. Call 911 if you feel threatened.
  • Trust God in this and all situations acting as Jesus would to check on people who may need assistance, not giving into fear, verifying information before passing it on, praying often for His protection and trusting Him for the outcome. Our response in any situation is a testimony of our faith.

教會活動

主内致哀：諶志清牧師于9月27日在西雅圖歷史歸主，享年95嵗。他生前曾擔任中文部客座牧師。追思禮於10月23日上午10點30分在Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, Silver Spring舉行，此前上午9點30分—10點30分為告別儀式，下午1點在Maryland National Memorial舉行下葬儀式。

每月全教會禱告會：我們邀請您在 2021 年 10 月 4 日（每個月的第一個星期一）晚上7點30分—8點30分以教會家庭的成員一起禱告。參與者可以用任何語言祈禱，只提供對上帝而言的話語。不需要任何解釋或自我介紹。您可以按照牧師的指示禱告，也可以為你當時想到的事情禱告。您可以在這一小時內的任何時間參與。請點擊此處獲取禱告會鏈接。

新型冠狀病毒預防措施
