CCC Sunday Worship Services are held in-person and on Zoom.  See schedule below.  Everyone must wear a mask, affirm the wellness check, and sign in with contact information when attending in person.  Online participants should sign-in with a simple and recognizable name.  Coronavirus is still a concern in our community so it is essential that everyone follows safety protocol of wearing a good-fitting mask, handwashing, social distancing and worshiping online if experiencing any type of illness. New Covid Safety Practices For In-Person Worship and Sunday School

  • If not wearing a KN95 mask or equivalent, please double mask. We will provide a surgical mask which you may wear under your own mask.
  • To report a COVID positive diagnosis or test result after you have been in the church building, please email trustees@cccdc.com with your name and phone number. Questions may be directed to Eric Lum or Linda Wong, the points of contact.
  • Please practice social distancing while in Sunday School, worship, and other activities at CCC.

Communion Will Be Celebrated at English Worship, February 6, 2022 at 11 am. Cantonese and Mandarin Worship Schedule Change. The usual Combined Service for Chinese-speaking congregations on the first Sunday of the month to celebrate communion together will not be held on February 6, 2022.  Instead Cantonese (9:30 am) and Mandarin (10:45 am) will worship separately as usual and observe Holy Communion at a later time.

Ladies Young Adult Fellowship (LEAF) New, young adult women’s small group will start the second week of February and meet weekly on a hybrid model (in person and/or online).  Please contact Grace or Nichole Chen (nyc8@georgetown.edu) if interested.  Details on day and time are being worked out now.

Contribution Statements indicating your 2021 giving have been sent out.  See Helen Wong or Rita Wong at the church or email treasurer@cccdc.com if you have questions or if you would like to use pre-printed offering envelopes for donations (we will be using 2021 boxes this year since we couldn’t use them last year).

Emergency Schedule Changes  In the event of worship service schedule changes due to inclement weather, please listen to WTOP (News 9) or go online to http://cccdc.com//wtop.com/closings-and-delays/ for announcements.  Additionally, we will post changes on the church website www.cccdc.com and send out a mass email.  If you would like to be added to the emergency contact list to receive communications about schedule changes, please send your name, address, phone number, and email to linda@cccdc.com.

Pardon our Dust Work is continuing on the security grant project awarded to our church so be cautious around any work areas in progress.  Please stay in assigned worship and Sunday School areas only.  Cameras, monitors and new doors will be installed.  The nationwide parts and delivery shortages are causing a delay.

Parking at PMI Parking lots on Sundays:  900 New York Avenue – Free parking with validation stamp.  Enter on 9th Street. PMI Garage at 600 Mass Ave – church paid arrangement for those who need to have a closer option for parking.  For either lot, please make sure you pick up a validation stamp or follow-up ticket at the front door from security or greeters. Offerings and Donations are welcome as church expenses continue.  Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT.   • Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting We invite you to join together as a church family for prayer on February 7, 2022 (the first Monday of the month) from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm.  Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God. There should be no explanation or self-introduction.  You may pray following the direction of the pastors or for items on your mind at the time. You may come any time during the hour. COVID-19 Vaccinations are widely available for children and adults.  Contact your state or the district’s government website or your local health department for more information.  All individuals 5 and older are eligible for the initial vaccinations, and many locations have walk-up availability for initial shots and boosters.  If you or someone you know needs help with getting a vaccination or have questions, please call Michelle at the Service Center 202-898-0061.

The church office and Chinatown Service Center regular office hours are, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.  All visitors must call the respective office to make an appointment before coming in and be informed of safety protocols, such as mask-wearing, when entering the church building.  Church office number is 202-637-9852 and Chinatown Service Center number is 202-898-0061.   Our building worker continues to maintain our building following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting against COVID-19.

Precautionary Measures Due to Coronavirus

  • Be cautious when going out – Mayor Bowser ordered the indoor mask mandate be reinstated in DC effective through January 31, 2022, at 6:00 am. Be cautious in large gatherings. Wear a tightly-fitted mask.  Stay home if you are sick.  Proof of vaccine is required at some DC venues such as restaurants, gyms, concert venues, movies and others.  http://cccdc.com//coronavirus.dc.gov/vaxdc
  • Details of activity information changes are announced through the website, phone tree, social media. WTOP and WJLA will announce emergency changes. If you want to be on the email list, please make sure we have your current email by contacting linda@cccdc.com
  • Anyone who has been exposed to coronavirus or tests positive must quarantine. Follow Centers for Disease Control for latest guidance on quarantine period, masking and testing. http://cccdc.com//www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/s1227-isolation-quarantine-guidance.html .  Report positive test results to info@cccdc.com if you were at the church around the time of infectious period.
  • Follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for protecting yourself – wear a mask, wash hands frequently with soap and water, cover coughs and sneezes, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands, stay home if you feel ill.
  • Consult a doctor if you have a high fever, cough or breathing problems.
  • Be aware of anti-Asian/Chinese sentiments from those who have anger or fear related to the virus’ origins. Call 911 if you feel threatened.
  • Trust God in this and all situations acting as Jesus would to check on people who may need assistance, not giving into fear, verifying information before passing it on, praying often for His protection and trusting Him for the outcome. Our response in any situation is a testimony of our faith.

新冠疫苗的接種向所有居民開放：你可以聯係所住地區的衛生部門查詢疫苗接種的詳細信息，也可以撥打服務中心電話202-898-0061，請Michelle幫助注冊接種疫苗的時間和相關問題。年齡超過5嵗以上的人都有資格接種疫苗，而且有許多接種點不需預約。

服務中心提供英文課和公民考試課：英文課的時間為星期二下午6點、公民考試課程時間則為星期五下午6點在ZOOM舉行。請撥打服務中心電話202-898-0061查詢課程計劃、登記注冊和獲取課程鏈接。

教會辦公室和服務中心恢復正常辦公時間：星期一到星期五、早晨8點半到下午4點。來訪者必須提前、分別向教會辦公室和服務中心預約到訪時間、進入教會辦公室前要聆聽安全守則，并且在辦公室内遵守安全協議，佩戴口罩。教會辦公室電話為202-637-9852，服務中心電話為202-898-0061。教堂建築物維護工作人員按照疾病防控中心對新冠病毒防控的指引，持續對教堂及大樓進行清潔和消毒工作。
