  • To report a COVID positive diagnosis or test result after you have been in the church building, please email trustees@cccdc.com with your name and phone number.  Questions may be directed to Eric Lum or Linda Wong, the points of contact.

Take Note!

Aid to Ukrainian Refugees The Official Board established a goal of sending $100,000 to help the millions of Ukrainian refugees displaced from their homes due to war. An initial $50,000 from Reserve Funds has been sent and the congregation is invited to join in answering God’s call with their own offerings to feed those who are hungry and help those who are in trouble.  All gifts should be sent to CCC earmarked for Ukraine Relief.  All monies will be channeled to Samaritan’s Purse International which already has relief efforts and a mobile hospital in Ukraine.

Easter Outreach On Easter Sunday after worship, we will be reminding people in the neighborhood of the Good News that Jesus is alive.  A small gift and a card with church location will be distributed.  Contact Pastor Charles if you are interested in participating.

Adult Sunday School [E] New series, God Heard Their Cry, part of the Faith Lessons series by Ray Vander Laan, began on April 10.  Discover how God answers the cry of his persecuted people and proclaims himself Lord to them and to their oppressors.

  • Be cautious when going out – Mayor Bowser revised the COVID-19 winter surge protocols due to slowing of virus transmission and hospitalization and ordered the indoor mask mandate be lifted on March 1.
  • Anyone who has been exposed to coronavirus or tests positive must quarantine.  Follow Centers for Disease Control for latest guidance on quarantine period, masking and testing. http://cccdc.com//www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/s1227-isolation-quarantine-guidance.html .  Report positive test results to trustees@cccdc.com  if you were at the church around the time of infectious period.
  • Follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for protecting yourself – vaccination, wear a mask in areas of high COVID transmission, wash hands frequently with soap and water, cover coughs and sneezes, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands, stay home if you feel ill.
  • Consult a doctor if you have a high fever, cough or breathing problems.
  • Be aware of anti-Asian/Chinese sentiments from those who have anger or fear related to the virus’ origins.  Call 911 if you feel threatened.
  • Trust God in this and all situations acting as Jesus would to check on people who may need assistance, not giving into fear, verifying information before passing it on, praying often for His protection and trusting Him for the outcome.  Our response in any situation is a testimony of our faith.
