Ukrainian Humanitarian Relief We continue to collect offerings and fundraise to help the 6.6 million Ukrainians who, due to war, have become refugees, 8 million who have been displaced from homes, and the 15.7 million who are in need of food, livelihood, or other aid.  The $70,000+ we have sent so far to Samaritan’s Purse International which is helping with medical care, supplying Ukrainian hospitals, distributing necessities of daily living, training Ukrainian church leaders in emotional and trauma support, and providing access to clean water, has funded 1125 hygiene kits, 650 outpatient visits, and 50 family food kits which feed 250 people.  This has impacted 2075 Ukrainians.  Please consider helping with an offering or support to the next Fundraising Effort which will be at the church on Saturday, June 18, 2022 when the Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs hosts the Chinatown Community Festival in the park across the street from our church.  We will sponsor a plant sale and Chinese dress and purse sale outside our church as well as an information table at the Festival. Let David Wong know if you can help with the fund-raising or sharing about our church that day. We hope to send a total of $100,000 by the end of June.  All gifts should be sent to CCC earmarked for Ukraine Relief.  Thank you to those who have already given.  A Mini Plant Sale will be held on June 5 at 12:00 noon in Room 101 for the benefit of Ukraine relief efforts (some of the plants are growing out of their pots and can’t wait until June 18).  Please give generously.
