Prayers: September 18, 2022

Sep 16, 2022   •

Cast your cares on the Lord    and he will sustain you… (Psalm 55:22)

  • Thank you Lord, that You are always present to guide, provide for, and protect us. There’s no place where we are outside Your providential presence and care (Psalm 139:7-12).
  • Let every created thing give praise to the Lord, for He issued his command, and we came into being. Psalm 148
  • Inspire the nation to be a nation under God seeking to glorify, honor and praise You.
  • Pray for our community to work together to address the challenges of homelessness, violence, trash and illegal activities. Pray for our neighbors who do not yet know Jesus for we were once in their shoes, lost without an eternity.
  • Pray for those who are engaging in baptism and membership classes, the beginning of a new life in relationship with our Savior. Pray that the Holy Spirit will convict those who know about the triune God but have not given their heart in faith.
  • Pray for missionary workers who serve in places without as much access to vaccines and treatment for COVID as we have in the US.
  • Pray that our Bible study and fellowship groups will provide a positive environment where disciples are grown.
  • Pray for the ability to change – sometimes when circumstances do not change, we instead find ourselves changing. We grow in the face of adversity and begin to see suffering from a more Christlike perspective. Thank God for the bad days, and the good days, knowing that there is a season for both. As we pray for better days, let us know those better days ahead begin today because Jesus is with us.
  • Pray for our children to know that God is with them always, teaching and loving them in every circumstance.
  • We pray for our church family – for those dealing with health and mobility issues; for those who are homebound, for those with job and financial worries; for those in broken relationships. Pray that they will experience the promise of rest in Jesus. “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.
