Welcome Back Pastor Charles has returned from the first half of his sabbatical. We pray that the Lord has been providing a reflective and restful time for him.
CCC Election for 2024 Official Board is currently underway. Ballots have been mailed to members and ballots may be completed and returned online, in the mail, or in the ballot box at church by November 5, 2023. Deadline for return is November 5. Please contact info@cccdc.com if your ballot has been misplaced.
Queen Esther Drama – A joint effort from all 3 congregations will be presented during the Joint Worship Service on December 10. Look for opportunities to invite and pray for friends and family who do not know Jesus to attend this special worship service. Please pray that we would remember to trust in the Lord at all times, even when circumstances seem stacked against us. Next Sunday another dress rehearsal is scheduled in the sanctuary at 1:00 pm.
Christmas Ministry For Children For anyone interested in helping with the Shoebox Ministry, please attend the Information Session on October 29, 2023 (changed from 10/22) at 12:45 pm in the Library, Room 304. Rachel and Jeremy will share how you can prepare for the Packing Party on

2023 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is currently underway with the theme, Show Some Love: Be the Face of Change. CFC allows Federal workers and retirees an opportunity to give to charitable organizations making a difference in the lives of people in our community. Our church’s Chinatown Service Center [CSC] http://cccdc.com//www.chinatownscdc.org/ is one of the organizations on the list. Use CFC # 34868 to direct your donation to our Center. To find out more about CFC, check out www.cfcnca.org. If you are not a Federal worker, you may still donate to the Center directly through the church.
Disaster Relief for Hawaii In Christian love, CCC is collecting monetary donations for disaster relief in Maui after wildfires devastated communities on the island. If you are able, please make your checks payable to the Chinese Community Church with a designation for “Maui relief” before November 30. You may also donate cash or Zelle/Paypal. Your donations will be matched up to $6000 by our church members who grew up in Hawaii and now reside in the DC area. All funds will be given to the American Red Cross providing financial aid, temporary housing, meals, mental health and spiritual counseling, and support of local businesses.

Parking at PMI Parking lots on Sundays: 900 New York Avenue – Free parking with validation stamp. Enter on 9th Street. PMI Garage at 600 Mass Ave – church paid arrangement for those who need to have a closer option for parking. For either lot, please make sure you pick up a validation stamp or follow-up ticket at the front door from security or greeters. Street parking is also free on Sundays. Need Prayer? Send your request through the homepage of the church website. http://tinyurl.com/CCC-Prayers or join the Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting. We invite you to join together as a church family for prayer in our next meeting on November 6, 2023 (usually the first Monday of the month) from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God. There should be no explanation or self-introduction. Offerings and Donations are being received during worship services. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account, not a credit card or using the PayPal Giving Fund. In 2023 recording of PayPal donations will reflect actual amount church receives (so fees will be deducted if incurred)

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) offers low-cost health insurance for children and teens according to income guidelines. Contact the Service Center for more information.
Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will tentatively be in November. Translators are provided. You must reserve a spot with Michelle, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. She will provide meeting details when you call.

禱告需求：請通過教會網站主頁上傳您的禱告需求http://tinyurl.com/CCC-Prayers或參加每月全教會禱告會。下一個禱告會將在2023年11月6日（通常每個月的第一個星期一）晚上7點30分至8點30分。我們作教會家庭的成員一起禱告。參與者可以用任何語言祈禱，只提供對上帝而言的話語。不需要任何解釋或自我介紹。您可以按照牧師的指示禱告，也可以為您當時想到的事情禱告。您可以在這一小時內的任何時間參與。請點擊此處獲取禱告會鏈接。
