Take Note!
Next Sunday (December 10, 2023) Queen Esther Drama will be presented during the Joint Worship Service at 10:45 am. Invite and pray for friends and family who do not know Jesus to attend this special worship service. Pray that God would prepare the heart of every person who will see the Esther production to receive His wonderful message of salvation. Please note that we WILL be able to Zoom the service on December 10 and you may request the link from info@cccdc.com. Headsets will be available in the Narthex for listening to the service in Chinese and subtitles will be shown throughout the drama.
Poinsettias may be ordered for the altar on December 24 or for distribution to a shut-in. Please complete a form found in the literature rack and turn in with payment of $10 each in the offering bag or the church office by December 17.

2023 Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is currently underway with the theme, Show Some Love: Be the Face of Change. CFC allows Federal workers and retirees an opportunity to give to charitable organizations making a difference in the lives of people in our community. Our church’s Chinatown Service Center [CSC] http://cccdc.com//www.chinatownscdc.org/ is one of the organizations on the list. Use CFC # 34868 to direct your donation to our Center. To find out more about CFC, check out www.cfcnca.org. If you are not a Federal worker, you may still donate to the Center directly through the church.
Disaster Relief for Hawaii Many thanks to those who were able to donate for the American Red Cross effort to provide financial aid, temporary housing, meals, mental health and spiritual counseling, and support of local businesses to the Maui residents who suffered great loss during the summer wildfires. Over $8,000 was collected which means another $6000 of matching funds will be added from a couple church members who previously lived in Hawaii.
Missions Update Religious Education Committee has committed support to six missions in 2023. November donations total $ 3,655.00; YTD – $ 67,500.00. For information about supported ministries or to suggest others, please contact the Religious Education Committee.

Parking at PMI Parking lots on Sundays: 900 New York Avenue – Free parking with validation stamp. Enter on 9th Street. PMI Garage at 600 Mass Ave – church paid arrangement for those who need to have a closer option for parking. For either lot, please make sure you pick up a validation stamp or follow-up ticket at the front door from security or greeters. Street parking is also free on Sundays. Need Prayer? Send your request through the homepage of the church website. http://tinyurl.com/CCC-Prayers or join the Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting. We invite you to join together as a church family for prayer in our next meeting on December 4, 2023 (usually the first Monday of the month) from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God. There should be no explanation or self-introduction. Offerings and Donations are being received during worship services. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account, not a credit card or using the PayPal Giving Fund. In 2023 recording of PayPal donations will reflect actual amount church receives (so fees will be deducted if incurred)

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) offers low-cost health insurance for children and teens according to income guidelines. Contact the Service Center for more information.
Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be on December 7. Translators are provided. You must reserve a spot with Michelle, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. She will provide meeting details when you call.
