“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”  Psalm 37:4

  • Thank you, Lord, for being the Great I AM, the only one who is perfectly self-sufficient, that we can find all that we need in You.
  • Thank you, Lord, for the testimonies of others which encourage us to love You more.
  • Thank you, Lord, for your joy and peace which increase as we turn over control of our lives to you.
  • In this season of Lent, may we daily make time for prayer to improve our communion with You and strengthen our spiritual discipline during the preparation of Easter Sunday.
  • Open our eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions. Psalm 119:18
  • We pray for our ministry teams, for patience and wisdom as they plan for their congregations.
  • We pray that all our decisions and actions bring glory to God.
  • We pray for our loved ones going through tough times – health, economic, and financial turmoil – help them to receive renewed strength and guidance from God. Psalm 23:3
  • We struggle, Lord, with loss of things, of loved ones, of jobs. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. Romans 5:3-4
  • Let us think about your promise of receiving the Holy Spirit: “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. “You fathers—if your children ask for a fish, do you give them a snake instead? Or if they ask for an egg, do you give them a scorpion? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.”  Luke 11:9-13
