A Calling to Serve: Pastor for Chinese-Speaking Ministries
Our Pastoral Search Committee has posted the Job Announcement for a Pastor for Chinese-Speaking ministries at CCC. Candidate must be fluent in Mandarin and conversational in Cantonese (and English) to join our pastoral team. Please pray that God’s chosen leader for CCC will sense God’s calling and be in preparation for service in our church. Feel free to tell interested candidates how to apply. Church-Wide Prayer meeting, October 12, 2025 at 12:00 noon. All congregations will meet in the sanctuary before lunch for small group prayer. Let us join together as one body to seek God and His promise to listen to our voices. Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14; Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.Isaiah 65:24
Lunch Cooks Needed – There are a few openings on the lunch schedule for cooks for the remainder of the year. Please sign up as you are able. Your help with this ministry program is appreciated.
90th Anniversary Banquet Please join us to celebrate the Church’s 90th Anniversary with an eleven course dinner at China Garden Han Gong Restaurant, 11333 Woodglen Dr, Rockville, MD 20852 on Sunday, November 16, 2025. Cost is $700 / table; $75 / individual. We are getting close to capacity, so please make reservations directly with Nelson Kee [nmkee2001@gmail.com] as soon as possible. Give payment to Linda Lum or Linda Wong via check payable to the Chinese Community Church.
Please note that space in our building is rented out at various times when our church is not using it. Please check with the office or Trustees to reserve space for any church meeting or program.
Citizenship Class teachers needed for weekly Saturday morning zoom class. Rotation schedule means you will teach only once or twice a month. If interested, contact Hadassah at csc.coordinator@cccdc.com.

● Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting on the first Tuesdays of the month. We invite you to join as a church to pray following the direction of the pastors or for items on your mind at the time. You may come any time during family for prayer in our next virtual meeting on October 7, 2025 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God. There should be no explanation or self-introduction. You may the hour.
● Mandarin Prayer Meeting and Bible Study, Tuesdays, 7 pm on zoom.
● Cantonese Prayer Meeting, Wednesdays, 7:45 pm on zoom.
Offerings and Donations are being received during worship services. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal from website link. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account (not a credit card) or using the PayPal Giving Fund. Offering collection boxes are also stationed in church worship spaces. In addition to operating budget, you may designate donations to missions, Good Samaritan Fund, Chinatown Service Center, Building Fund.

Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be October 2,2025. Translators are provided. You must reserve a spot with the Chinatown Service Center, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. Meeting details will be provided when you call.
