Church-Wide Prayer meeting at 12:00 noon. All congregations will meet in the sanctuary before lunch for small group prayer. Please sit in the section designated for your congregation’s language. Let us join together as one body to seek God and His promise to listen to our voices. Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14; Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. Isaiah 65:24

A Calling to Serve: Pastor for Chinese-Speaking Ministries
Our Pastoral Search Committee has posted the Job Announcement for a Pastor for Chinese-Speaking ministries at CCC. Candidate must be fluent in Mandarin and conversational in Cantonese (and English) to join our pastoral team. Please pray that God’s chosen leader for CCC will sense God’s calling and be in preparation for service in our church. Feel free to tell interested candidates how to apply. Please Pray for Pastor Joanna as she receives targeted chemotherapy for her cancer. Please also pray that her white blood cells will remain at a healthy level to keep her strong.
Sympathy is expressed to Margaret Woo and her family. Margaret’s mother, Toi Gine Chan Woo, passed away on October 1, 2025 at the age of 96. Funeral services will be in Richmond on October 10.
Church Membership Classes are being scheduled now. If you wish to join the CCC family through baptism, confession of faith or transfer, please let one of the pastors know.
Nursery has reopened on Sunday Mornings, 9:30 am – 12 noon. Children aged 3 and younger may stay in adult-supervised setting in Room 202. Parents should leave contact information and their location in the church. Mei Mei Bacon is coordinating. Children who are PreK4 – 6th grade should attend Sunday School in the Lower Basement at 9:30 am and Children’s Church at 11:15 am.
90th Anniversary Celebration Please join the Church’s 90th Anniversary Activities coming up before the end of 2025:

● 90th Anniversary Thanksgiving Joint Worship on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 10:45. All are invited to this special worship service followed by special program and lunch.
● 90 Years of CCC History – take a look at how CCC began, developed and has continued to serve God through the years. A photo timeline will be displayed on the Hung Memorial Fellowship walls beginning on Thanksgiving Sunday.

● Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting on the first Tuesdays of the month. We invite you to join as a church to pray following the direction of the pastors or for items on your mind at the time. You may come any time during family for prayer in our next virtual meeting on October 7, 2025 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God. There should be no explanation or self-introduction. You may join anytime during the hour.
● Mandarin Prayer Meeting and Bible Study, Tuesdays, 7 pm on zoom.
● Cantonese Prayer Meeting, Wednesdays, 7:45 pm on zoom.
Offerings and Donations are being received during worship services. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal from website link. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account, not a credit card or using the PayPal Giving Fund. Offering collection boxes are also stationed in church worship spaces. In addition to operating budget, you may designate donations to missions, Good Samaritan Fund, Chinatown Service Center, Building Fund.

Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be November 6, 2025. Translators are provided. You must reserve a spot with the Chinatown Service Center, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. Meeting details will be provided when you call.

本會向Margaret Woo姊妹及其家人致以慰問Margaret的母親Toi Gine Chan Woo已於2025年10月1日安息主懷，享年96歲。追思禮拜將於10月10日在列治文Richmond舉行。
