Church-Wide Prayer meeting at 12:00 noon. All congregations will meet in the sanctuary before lunch for small group prayer. Please sit in the section designated for your congregation’s language. Let us join together as one body to seek God and His promise to listen to our voices. Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14; Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. Isaiah 65:24

A Calling to Serve: Pastor for Chinese-Speaking Ministries
Our Pastoral Search Committee has posted the Job Announcement for a Pastor for Chinese-Speaking ministries at CCC. Candidate must be fluent in Mandarin and conversational in Cantonese (and English) to join our pastoral team. Please pray that God’s chosen leader for CCC will sense God’s calling and be in preparation for service in our church. Feel free to tell interested candidates how to apply. ● Praise God! Pastor Joanna has received indication that targeted chemotherapy is working on reducing cancer cells. Continue to pray for her recovery.
● Pray for healing for Andre Manley during his hospitalization for evaluation of several health issues.

Church Membership Classes are being scheduled now. If you wish to join the CCC family through baptism, confession of faith or transfer, please let one of the pastors know.
Nursery has reopened on Sunday Mornings, 9:30 am – 12 noon. Children aged 3 and younger may stay in adult-supervised setting in Room 202. Parents should leave contact information and their location in the church. Mei Mei Bacon is coordinating. Children who are PreK4 – 6th grade should attend Sunday School in the Lower Basement at 9:30 am and Children’s Church at 11:15 am.
Missions Update Religious Education Committee has committed support to eight missions in 2025 so far. Mission donations total $2,370 for the month of September; YTD equals $35,840. For information about supported ministries or to suggest others, please contact Grace Chen, Chair of Religious Education Committee.
CCC Election is October 26, 2025 at 12:00 noon in the sanctuary. Members will be receiving ballots in the mail with instructions for voting. If you do not receive yours by the middle of the week, please contact the church office. Please note that the ballot has been reformed to hopefully include clearer instructions and format. The following people are available to help answer questions regarding the ballot instructions: Mary Woo, Jeremy Wong, Grace Chen, Corrine Wong, Feimin Zhang, Rong Chen, and Stephanie Chan.
90th Anniversary Celebration Please join the Church’s 90th Anniversary Activities coming up before the end of 2025:

● 90th Anniversary Thanksgiving Joint Worship on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at 10:45. All are invited to this special worship service followed by program and lunch.
● 90 Years of CCC History – take a look at how CCC began, developed and has continued to serve God through the years. A photo timeline will be displayed on the Hung Memorial Fellowship walls beginning on Thanksgiving Sunday.
Church Office Hours: The Chinatown Service Center and Church Office will be closed from 12 noon until 1:00 pm each day for staff to have time for lunch and planning. Please call ahead to schedule appointments.

● Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting on the first Tuesdays of the month. We invite you to join as a church to pray following the direction of the pastors or for items on your mind at the time. You may come any time during family for prayer in our next virtual meeting on November 4, 2025 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God. There should be no explanation or self-introduction. You may join anytime during the hour.
● Mandarin Prayer Meeting and Bible Study, Tuesdays, 7 pm on zoom.
● Cantonese Prayer Meeting, Wednesdays, 7:45 pm on zoom.
Offerings and Donations are being received during worship services. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal from website link. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account (not a credit card) or using the PayPal Giving Fund. Offering collection boxes are also stationed in church worship spaces. In addition to operating budget, you may designate donations to missions, Good Samaritan Fund, Chinatown Service Center, Building Fund.

Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be November 6, 2025. Translators are provided. You must reserve a spot with the Chinatown Service Center, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. Meeting details will be provided when you call.
