Pastor for Chinese-Speaking Ministries Candidate
The Pastoral Search Committee, formed in April 2025, has been prayerfully seeking God’s choice for our Chinese-speaking pastor. Of eight applicants, Brother Jacob Li passed the initial interview and advanced to the second round of the selection process. He remains a candidate under consideration, and no final decision has been made.
Brother Jacob and his family will visit on Sunday, December 7, 2025, preaching at the Combined Chinese Service in the Hung Memorial Fellowship Hall at 10:45 am. Please join us and continue to pray for God’s guidance in this process. Candidates may still apply: [https://bit.ly/cccdc-search]
Chinese Congregation will have a meet and greet with Brother Jacob at 1:00 pm after lunch on December 7. All are invited.
Annual Congregation Meeting, December 14, 2025, 1:00 pm in Sanctuary
Poinsettias may be ordered for display on the altar on December 21 or for distribution to a shut-in. Please complete a form found in the literature rack and turn in with payment of $11 each in the offering bag or the church office by December 14.

December 20, 11:30 am Christmas Potluck and Caroling at church. Bring your favorite dish to share (enough to cover your family plus a little extra). Free parking is available at the PMI lot at 900 New York Avenue with a validation stamp from the church.

● Please remember church staff in your prayers: Pastor Joanna Xu’s chemotherapy has brought her cancer marker number down, but she needs our prayers for increasing white blood cell count; Andre Manley who has been moved to Crescent Cities Nursing & Rehab Center for continued treatment and care, and Pastor Charles who is receiving eye injections for vision difficulty.
● Monthly Church-wide Prayer Meeting on the first Tuesdays of the month. We invite you to join a zoom call to pray following the direction of the pastors or for items on your mind. You may come any time during the hour for prayer in our next virtual meeting on December 2, 2025, from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Participants may pray in any language, offering only words meant for God. There should be no explanation or self-introduction.

● Cantonese Prayer Meeting, Wednesdays, 7:45 pm on zoom.
Offerings and Donations are being received during worship services. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. You may also send checks in the mail, add CCC to your Bill Pay service from your bank, or send offering through Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) or PayPal from website link. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account (not a credit card) or using the PayPal Giving Fund. Offering collection boxes are also stationed in church worship spaces. In addition to operating budget, you may designate donations to missions, Good Samaritan Fund, Chinatown Service Center, Building Fund.

Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be December 4, 2025. Translators are provided. You must reserve a spot with the Chinatown Service Center, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. Meeting details will be provided when you call.
Community Services Classes on Zoom: English as a Second Language Class, Tuesdays @ 6 pm; Citizenship Classes, Saturday mornings on zoom. Contact Chinatown Service Center for changes to schedule or to register and obtain the meeting link: 202-898-0061.

華語事工牧師候選人 自2025年4月成立以來，牧師甄選委員會一直在禱告中尋求神所預備的華語牧師。在八位申請者中，李雅各弟兄通過初步面談，進入第二輪甄選，目前仍在考慮名單之中，尚未作出最後決定。李弟兄將於2025年12月7日（主日）與家人一起來訪，並於上午10: 45在本會禎桂堂的華語聯合崇拜中證道。歡迎弟兄姊妹一同參加，並繼續為甄選過程尋求神的帶領代禱。牧師職位仍接受申請：https://bit.ly/cccdc-search
