Introducing The Garden – restructured Children’s Sunday School Classes!
• Our children’s and teens’ ministry has a new name: The Garden! Our kids came up with it themselves. From Seedlings to Sprouts to Buds to Rooted, our prayer is every child will grow in faith and stay rooted in Christ. “I am the vine; you are the branches.” John 15:5
• As we begin this new chapter, we’re looking for more people to serve with our kids and teens. Current needs include Sunday School teachers and Assistants for both Sunday School and Children’s Church (no prep required). Chinese/English bilingual volunteers are especially helpful in our Sprouts Children’s Church class.
• Our goal is to have 2 adults in every classroom for added care, support and safety.
• Interested in serving? Contact Esther at esther.cho@cccdc.com. We can chat about needs and where you might be a good fit. A brief training and background check are required.
New Adult Sunday School Topic Begins September 13 “Unleashed” by Tony Evans – Releasing the power of the Holy Spirit within believers to live an abundant, impactful life. Missions Update Religious Education Committee has committed to support eight missionaries/mission organizations in 2026 with a $75,000.00 budget. Donations total $2,900.00 for August and YTD amount is $32,964.49. If you have questions or suggestions for CCC mission support please contact Grace Chen, the chair of the committee.
Thinking Ahead: Religious Education Committee is planning again to pack Christmas shoeboxes to send to children who have not heard about Jesus. Get a head start and take advantage of current school supply sales to gather items to put in the shoeboxes. Beware of Scam Emails Be cautious when opening emails requesting help, including from people you know. Recently, emails have circulated appearing to be from one of the pastors and others you recognize, requesting money or some type of help involving personal information, but they are fake. Do not reply to the email. Always check that the email address is correct and when in doubt, communicate with the person directly by phone. If the person is not known to you, block and delete.
Help Keep God’s House in Order:
• Check the lost and found cart in the fellowship hall and take any items which are yours. They will be donated after 3 weeks on the cart.
• Report any malfunctions or building issues to the Trustees. Form available in the kitchen hallway across from the elevator.
• IF you are considering donating anything to church, please discuss with Trustees or intended user first. Don’t leave miscellaneous items around the church – they will be discarded.

Give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 NLT. Checks are payable to Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. If giving through PayPal, avoid fees by designating Friends and Family from your account, not a credit card or using the PayPal Giving Fund. Offering collection boxes are also stationed in church worship spaces. In addition to operating budget, you may designate donations to missions, Good Samaritan Fund, Chinatown Service Center, Building Fund.

Next Legal Clinic, sponsored by Chinatown Service Center and Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center, will be September10. Translators are provided. You must reserve a spot with the Chinatown Service Center, 202-898-0061 in order to attend. Meeting details will be provided when you call.

親愛的弟兄姊妹：主內平安。在這充滿恩典的夏季，讓我們一同來到父神面前，帶著感恩與謙卑的心，向祂獻上我們的禱告與祈求：
恩典代禱：為牧者守望：為徐麗娟牧師禱告 求上帝在她艱難的抗癌治療旅程中，以祂永恆的力量與恩典托住和扶持徐牧師，賜給她每天所需的力量、平安與盼望。
介紹「恩典花園」— 重新調整的兒童主日學班級！
• 我們的兒童及青少年事工有了新的名稱：「恩典花園」，這是孩子們自己想出來的名字。
• 從幼苗班、嫩芽班、花蕾班到扎根班，我們的禱告是每個孩子都能在信仰中成長，並在基督裡扎根。「我是葡萄樹，你們是枝子。」約翰福音 15:5
• 隨著我們開啟這個新篇章，我們正在尋找更多弟兄姊妹參與兒童及青少年事工。目前需要主日學老師，以及主日學和兒童崇拜的助教（無需備課）。在嫩芽班兒童崇拜中，中英文雙語志工尤其能提供很大的幫助。
• 我們的目標是每個教室都有兩位成人同工，以提供更多的關懷、支持與安全保障。
宣教事工更新 宗教教育委員會已承諾於2026年，以75,000美元的預算支持八位宣教士／宣教機構。八月份收到的奉獻共2,900美元，截至目前為止（年初至今）的奉獻總額為32,964.49美元。如果您對教會宣教事工的支持有任何問題或建議，請聯絡委員會主席陳恩惠。

我們在主日崇拜時收納奉獻和捐贈，只要您樂意付出，不論是多少，請奉獻您的所能，而不是您無法奉獻的。哥林多後書8章12節說：“因為人若有願做的心，必蒙悅納，乃是照他所有的，並不是照他所無的” 您的奉獻與捐贈可以通過郵寄支票或銀行轉賬，以及用Zelle (treasurer@cccdc.com) 或 用網絡PayPal的方式支持教會目前的開支。奉獻支票抬頭是：Chinese Community Church，地址是 500 I Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001；如用PayPal的方式，為免服務費請指定您賬內的親友而不是信用卡；或通過PayPal捐贈基金捐獻。教會多處都設置了奉獻箱。可指定奉獻用於運作預算，也可指定奉獻支持宣教機構、Good Samaritan Fund、華埠服務中心，或教會大樓基金。
