CCC Congregation Meeting Today All CCC members are invited to the CCC Congregation Meeting today from 1:00–1:30 PM in the church sanctuary, following lunch fellowship. The meeting’s purpose is to elect the 2027 CCC Official Board. Members of the Nominating Committee will be available to assist with completing ballots and to answer questions.
Joint Thanksgiving Sunday Worship, November 22, 10:30 am All Congregations will worship together in the sanctuary. Rev. Joshua Cho will give the message, and the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion will be celebrated. Come and worship to give God the honor and glory due His Name.
Sympathy Extended May Chan Wong passed away peacefully on October 24, 2026. May was one of the charter members of CCC in 1935 and was a faithful supporter until health issues limited her mobility. Please remember her daughter, Benita, and her family in your prayers, that the Lord will sustain and comfort them in their grief. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later time.
Memorial Service Yim Mui (May) Cheung, a dedicated and active member of the Cantonese congregation before her illness, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 15, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held at the church on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Yim Mui (May) Cheung Memorial Fund for the Chinatown Service Center, Chinese Community Church, 500 I Street, NW, Washington DC 20001. In your donation, please note YMC Fund. Please keep her son and his family (Allen and Yvonne Yiu) in prayer in their time of grief.
Pray for Pastor Joanna as she continues with her chemo treatments. May our added prayers and faith in God bring healing and relief.
Thanksgiving Gospel Outreach and Lunch November 26, 11:00 am, Sanctuary. Everyone is invited to attend or help with the program of fellowship, music and other performances to share the gospel and thank God for His blessings. Lunch will follow in the Hung Memorial Hall. Missions Update Religious Education Committee has committed to support eight missionaries/mission organizations in 2026 with a $75,000.00 budget. Donations total $7,180.00 for October and YTD amount is $42,619.49. If you have questions or suggestions for CCC mission support please contact Grace Chen, the chair of the committee.
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes: Religious Education Committee will sponsor a shoebox packing event on Sunday, November 15 right after lunch in the lower basement. Come join the packing party! If you can’t make it, you may also pack your own shoebox, bring supplies to put in the boxes, or make a donation to help pay for shipping. Dealing with Stress: Chinatown Service Center is hosting a health workshop on November 17th, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM in the fellowship hall. It will focus on understanding stress, exploring ways to manage it, and learning how to support the people around us experiencing this difficulty. Workshop will be conducted in Mandarin. 追思禮拜
