Scripture – Revelation 22:1-5
1Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.. 3No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.

For reflection:

  1. How have I been holding on to patterns, habits, and thoughts that do not display the new life I have in Christ?
  2. How can I change my life decisions to reflect that I now live by God’s will and not my own?
  3. How can we make CCC more of a place that is a foretaste of the Kingdom of God that is to come?

Part Four: God is not interested in just returning us back to how things were in the garden.  He has called us to a NEW calling, and a NEW life.  We are called to work towards the new heavenly vision in Revelation that pictures God as the center of our lives, and we, as ONE people of God living solely for Him.  Our new lives in Christ are to be a “revolution” that is committed to bringing “heaven to earth” in every way.

2 Corinthians

24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
